New ParentSquare Feature: Report Student Absences Online

Did you know that starting Wednesday, September 23, you can report your Gurrie student’s upcoming absences directly in ParentSquare?

Reporting absences in advance saves you time and helps prevent the check-in calls. Submit absences for all your Gurrie children in a single entry, attach doctor's notes or travel details, and view all past and upcoming reported absences on your personal dashboard.

How it works on the ParentSquare app: 

• Tap Attendance in the bottom navigation. 
• Tap + in the top right. 
• Select a student(s), duration, date, and reason.
• (Optional) Add a message and attachments. 
• Tap Submit absence report.  

How it works on a web browser: 

• From Home, click Attendance under Communicate. 
• Click Report Absence. 
• Select a student(s), date, and reason. 
• (Optional) Add a message and attachments.  
• Click Submit.
