October 5 Gurrie Tiger Notes
Proud to be a Tiger,
Dr. Mendoza

Mid-Term Grades
Midterm grades will be available by the end of the week. This is a great time to sit down with your student, review their progress, and celebrate the growth they are making. Remember, students may retake a summative assessment once they meet the requirements set by their teacher, which often include completing additional tasks to strengthen their understanding of the material.
Parent-teacher conference scheduling is also open. Families can sign up to meet with any of their student’s teachers. Conferences are a valuable opportunity to build a strong partnership between home and school so that every Tiger is supported in their learning journey. Please check your email or ParentSquare messages for the scheduling link.
No School – Friday, October 10 & Monday, October 13
There will be no school on Friday, October 10, for our District 105 Institute Day. On this day, teachers and staff will be engaged in professional learning to strengthen instruction and support for our Tigers.
In addition, there will be no school on Monday, October 13, in observance of Columbus Day/Indigenous Peoples’ Day.
We wish all of our Tiger families a wonderful four-day weekend, and we look forward to welcoming students back on Tuesday, October 14.
Yearbook Ordering:
Ordering a yearbook is important for students and families because it preserves irreplaceable school memories, provides a tangible keepsake for reflection, and offers a unique window into a child's school life. Your child will look back at this yearbook for years to come and be reminded of all the amazing things that they did, accomplished, and were a part of. Yearbooks are $25 and can be purchased in person with either cash or check, or online through this website: jostensyearbooks.com
This year, we are continuing with the option to customize their yearbook. This will be an additional cost and is ONLY available online. If you have already purchased one in person and would like to switch to the customization option, please reach out to Mrs. Neadly through either ParentSquare or email: lneadly@d105.net.
If you would like to submit photos for consideration for the yearbook or are wondering if you have purchased a yearbook, please send them to Mrs. Neadly through either ParentSquare or her email: lneadly@d105.net.
